It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Retired Elder Mwalimu Samuel Kinuthia Ngugi.
He was the beloved husband of Elder Margaret Mumbi, the firstborn son of the late Joel Ngugi Kinuthia (Gatumbi) and Victoria Mumbi Ngugi, and a loving brother of Agnes Wanjiku Mburu, Lucy Wanjiru Kuria, Jane Wangui Kibugi, the late James Muriu Ngugi, the late John Kamande Ngugi, Mary Njeri Ng’ang’a, Thomas Muiruri Ngugi, and Francis Muigai Ngugi.
He was a devoted father of Naftali Ngugi Kinuthia (husband of Joyce Ngugi), Patrick Muhia Kinuthia (husband of Hellen Muhia), Eunice Wangari Kinuthia (wife of Paul Gitau Nyoike), and the late Francis Kamande Kinuthia.
He was also a cherished grandfather of Claire Wambui, Stefany Mumbi, Latisha Mumbi, Clara Mumbi, Elian Kinuthia, Clarence Nyoike, Darian Kinuthia, and Keren Makena.
Family, relatives, and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at his home in Mureke Village, Gatanga, opposite St. Germaine Gatanga Girls.
The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home, Kabati, on Wednesday, 8th July 2026.
The funeral service will be held at PCEA Mureke, Gatanga, opposite St. Germaine Gatanga Girls, after which he will be laid to rest at his residence within the same locality.
