It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mrs. Ruth W. Ngureti, which occurred on 29/06/2026 at Mt. Kenya ACK Hospital–Kerugoya after a sudden short illness.
She was a loving wife of the late Hon. Lucas Kamau Ngureti, MP Mwea (1970–1974), former Assistant Minister for Co-operative and Social Services. Mother of Lyne Wambui, the late Ephraim Kamau, Edward Githimo, Lydia Muthoni, Mishek Gatana and Karen Sarah Wanjira.
Mother-in-law of Prof. Bernard Nyingi Githua, Esther Nyaguthii, Joyce Kiragu (Kirinyaga University College), the late John Mburia and Elizabeth Wanjiku. Grandmother of Ciiku, Nyawira, Muthoni, Njeri, Jane, Wambugi, Rita, Maxluke, Murimi, Gillian, Ruth, Kevin, John, Dennis and Joy. Great-grandmother of Victoria, Trevor, Liam, Leslie, Alpha and Sally.
Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her Gatugura home, Mutige Sub-location, Gicugu Division, Kirinyaga County. Funeral arrangements are ongoing.
The Cortège leaves Mt. Kenya ACK hospital- Mortuary Kerugoya on Wednesday 8th at 9.00am to her home in Gatugura, Kirinyaga County for funeral service and Burial.
