It is with deep sorrow and in acceptance of God’s divine will that we announce the untimely demise of Chief Inspector Sylvester Nthakyo Wambua, OCS, Bangale Police Station, Tana River County, on 25th June 2026.
He was the beloved son of the late Martin Wambua Musisia and the late Bernadette Martin. Son-in-law of Angelina Muasa and the late Robert Muasa. Loving husband of Lucia Nthakyo. Father of Faith Nthakyo (Madison Group), Angeline Mbithe (Safarilikn Aviation), Elizabeth Nzembi (Chuka University), and Robert Wambua (Lenana School). Grandfather of Aria Quanisha and father-in-law of Maxwell Thuo.
Brother of Mrs. Mary Ndeto (HSC, Commissioner Emeritus), Ann Mutisya, Francis Kioko, Victoria Wambua, Prexides Nzisa, Clavia Gathiru, Angelica Muasya, Sr. Evelyn (USA), and the late Conzalis Kikotha. Brother-in-law of Mutuku Ndeto, Pim Kisini, the late Francis Gathiru, James Muasya, Nicholas Kikotha, the Muasas, among others. Beloved uncle of the Ndetos, the Mutisyas, Georgina, Mbithe G, Clara, Jessica, Emily, and Charity, among others. Cherished cousin to the Musisias, Mukuthis, and a friend to many.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Mbilini, Kangundo Sub-County, Machakos County.
The cortege will leave KU Referral Hospital at 6:30a.m on 8th July 2026 for a requiem Mass that will take place at Kyeni Resort (Mbilini) and burial rites there after at his home on the same day in Mbilini, Kangundo, Machakos County.
