It is with profound sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Madam Lina Manswela Ochieng on 2nd of May 2026 after a short illness.
She was daughter of the late Mpanzu Zacharia and the late Henrietta Mukadi.
Sister of the late Jonas Simakala, the late Nzuzi Nguzulu and the late Panzu Mitandu.
She was wife of the late Dismas Adija Ochieng and co-wife of Margaret Ochieng.
She was mother of Lumumba, Oloo, Rosemary, Gabriel, Claire, Melanie, the late Leonard, Franklin, and the late Wilson.
Mother-in-law of Helen, Gilbert, Yoann, Susan, Sarah, and Diana.
She was grandmother of Neema, Zola, Sunshine, Israela, Jethro, Cailan, Kyle, Nikki, Shawn, Aisha,Ylan, Lilwenn, Kayleen, the late Talia, Ella, Aria, Lami, Patrick and Layla.
She was great grandmother of Alfa Cousin of Masembo Kitadila.
She was a friend and counselor to many.
Madam Ochieng was a long serving teacher at Moi High School – Kabarak and Mustard Seed International School, Nakuru where she taught French and English.
Cortege leaves Kwee Funeral Home next to JOOTRH, Kisumu on 10th May 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
A Requiem Mass will be held on Sunday, 10 th May 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Achego Parish Catholic Church near Ndiru Centre, Kagan Ward, Rangwe Sub-county, Homa Bay County.
She will be laid to rest on Monday, 11th May 2026.
Funeral mass will start at 11:00 a.m., at the home of the late Mzee Dismas Adija Ochieng, located near Manyatta Centre, Kagan Ward, Rangwe Sub-county, Homa Bay County.
