It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of John Mutua Munyithya, a retired Public Health Officer, on 27th August 2026, following a long illness.
John was the cherished son of the late Munyithya Kyengo and Grace Nthenya.
He was the loving husband of Dinah Kalondu Mutua, devoted father of Faith Mwende Okello, father-in-law of Dr. Rowland Okello, and grandfather of Hawi, Amani, and Wema.
He was a beloved brother of the late Jackson Mule, the late Syonguvi, the late Davidson Muli, Dr. James Mwendwa (JKUAT), Jane Ndunge, the late Kiume Muasya, and Angeline Musyawa.
He was a cherished uncle of Muinde, Kyalo, Kyengo, Mutinda, Ken, Katumbi, Faith, Vale, Carol, Agnes, Jackie, Mumbua, Mercy, and many others.
Daily prayer meetings are being held at his home in Kaani from 4:00 p.m.
The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home, Machakos, on Saturday, 5th September 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The funeral and burial service will be held thereafter at the family home in Kaani, Machakos County.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
