JASON OCHOLA NUNDA

With heavy hearts but in humble acceptance and submission to God’s will, we are deeply saddened to announce the promotion to glory of Jason Ochola Nunda of the Office of the Auditor General, Nairobi on Friday 14th August 2026 at Mater Hospital after a short illness.

Jason was a coveted son of the late Mzee Tom Nunda Owiny and the late Mama Prisca Nunda of Kano, Kochogo and a stepson of the late Mama Herina Nunda and Momrica Nunda.

A loving husband of Madam Florence Ochola of Kibuye Girls School, Kisumu and a most adorable father of Linda Adhiambo (Presbyterian University), Tom Nigel Nunda (St. Joseph’s Boys’ School, Rapogi) and Jayden Ojiayo (Golden Elites School, Kisumu).

Brother of Barrack Nunda, the late John Ojode, Henry Akoth, Jack Osida, George Owiny Nunda, James Nunda, Cusper Mbom, Maurice Obure, Benard Otieno, Agnes Adhiambo, the late Susan Amadi, Isabella and Jane.

Son-in-law of the late Mzee Dixon Ojiayo Ombewa and the late Mama Jennifer Ojiayo of Seme K’Atieno (Kowawa). His other in-laws are the late Meshack Ombewa, Akombo Ombewa, Francis Maseno, George Ong’ele and Okungu Ombewa.

Brother-in-law of Zilper Okelo, Jane Ojode, Eunice Owiny, Caren Obure, Florence Odhiambo, Roseline Otieno, Maurice Ojiayo, Jacton Ojiayo, Amos Ojiayo, Paul Ojiayo, Samuel Ojiayo, Walter Ojiayo, the late Leah Olang, the late Rachel, Jane Achieng, Nereah Onyuna, Prof. Julius Nyabundi (former VC, Maseno University) and Dr. Jack Nyabundi among others.

The cortege leaves Star Hospital Ogango Mortuary in Kisumu on Friday 4th September 2026 for a requiem service at Emmanuel ACK Church, Menara, Muhoroni. Burial will take place on Saturday 5th September 2026 at his home in Upper Mutwala Village, Owaga Sub location, Muhoroni Location, Kisumu County, presided over by Emmanuel ACK Church, Menara.
