It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of George Muhia Mwaura on 23rd August 2026.
George was the son of Stephen Mwaura Muhia and Magdalene Wambui Muhia.
He was the loving father of Gabriel Mwaura Muhia.
He was the brother of Elizabeth Wanjiiru, John Mbugua, Jesse Kinga and Kevin Karanja.
He was the nephew of Wairimu, Njoki, Nyakinyua, Wacera, Njeri, Nyakaria and Monica, the late Kinga, Njoroge and Ichangal, Margaret, Jane, Lucy, Ngugi, Regina, Esther and Joseph.
He was grandson of the late Francis Muhia and the late Elizabeth Wanjiiru Muhia and the late John Mbugua and the late Hannah Waihera Mbugua.
Cherished cousin and friend to many.
Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and burial arrangements at the family home in Runda.
A Requiem Mass will take place at Our Lady of the Rosary, Ridgeways, Kiambu Road, at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, 28th August 2026.
There will be a meeting and vigil at Consolata Shrine, Westlands on Saturday, 29th August 2026 at 5:30 p.m.
The funeral service and burial will take place at their ancestral home in Kitale, Cherangany, Munyaka Farm on Tuesday, 1st September 2026.
