It is with deep sadness and acceptance, that we announce the sudden passing of Wangari (Wanga) Moraa Barasa.
Beloved daughter of Raymond Barasa and Eunice Gathuru.
Loving sister of Nyokabi Kemunto and Muringo Morangi Barasa (USA).
Step-sister of Herbert, Sherlyne, Clyde, Alex (USA), and Sonia Barasa.
Granddaughter of the late Timothy Gathuru and Jemimah Muringo Gathuru, and the late Alex and the late Leah Barasa.
Niece of Peter and Catherine Therenja, Mercy Nderitu and Nderitu Macharia, Wamuyu Gathuru, Sammy and Liz Mangel, Bob Gathuru, Pastor Innocent, Immaculate, Jane, the late George and Anne Barasa.
Cousin of Arthur Macharia, Oliver Wahome, Robert Mathai, Sarah Mwende, Jonathan Mwendwa, Linda Nyagitari, Clifford Mokaya, Brenda Nyabasi, Michelle Kwamboka among others.
Family, friends and well-wishers are meeting for evening prayers and fellowship at the family home in Woodley Estate from 6pm to 8pm daily.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday 13th October 2026 at Nairobi Baptist Church, Ngong Road, from 10am, followed by burial at Lang’ata Cemetery.
