It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and matriach, Truphena Kerubo Sokobe which occurred on 3th July 2026 at Mediforte Hospital where she was undergoing treatment.
Beloved daughter of late Ombati and Bogita, devoted wife of John Sokobe Orengo, mother of Elijah Ogoti (Principal Ibeno), Judith Kinanga, the late Sophia Kwamboka, Brigadier Titus Gitamo (KDF) and the Conceptor Moraa. Sister of the late Mwambi and Ong’au, Kemunto and Elias Otwori. Sister In-law of the late Nathan, Gekone, the late Nyakundi, George, Ongoris, Nyansakia, Isaac, Moku, Nyabicha, Omosa, late Onchiri among others. Sister-in-law (korera) of Mary Bosibori, James Arasa, Isabella Moraa, Isaiah Bange, the late Janes Nyakebati and the late Robinson Mang’era.
Aunt of Mokandus, Orenges, Isabokes, Ambogas, Nathans, Kwambokas, Kinangas, Nyabokes, Nyakaras and Osebes among others. Grandmother of Thevenin, Norton, Francis, Innocent, Harley, Lilian, Caleb, Leonidah, John, Nelly, Amenya, Grace, Angel, Prince, Benerdict, Emmaculate. Friends and relatives are meeting daily at John Sokobe’s Kiamokama home.
Fund drive shall be conducted on 14 July 2026 at her home and All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi (from 5.00pm).
The cortege will leave RAM Mortuary on Thursday 16 July 2026 for an overnight vigil at her home.
The funeral service will take place at St Peters Chironge Secondary school and burial at her home on Friday 17 July 2026 from 10.00am.
