It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Pastor Major (Rtd) Jezreel Alenga Amani, which occurred on 12 May 2026 after a long illness.
He was the son of the late Pastor Erasto Alenga and the late Maria Atiamuga.
He was the husband to the late Agnetta Muhonja Alenga.
He is survived by his sister Priscillah Kanaiza.
He was a brother to the late Daniel Lubanga, Apollo Alenga, Pauline Kadali, Horiab Kisia, Loi Kadiga, Rodah Kanaga, Sarah Kagonya, and Arthur Lamenya.
He was the son-in-law to the late Councillor Timateo Usagi, the late Rebecca Lunyagi Usagi, and the late Dorika Usagi.
Brother-in-law to Timson Kesekwa, Catherine Mwikali, Jescah Olalo, and Florence Kendi.
The others are the deceased Janet Agevi, Margaret Kihima, William Kidaha, Samuel Indiatsi, Albert Livoywa, Rose Libabu, David Mugala, Eng. Manasseh Musalia, and Dr. M’mbulika Usagi.
Beloved father of Carolyne Ng’alwa Keter, Carey Alenga Amani, Musa Kagasi Amani, and Jeremiah Usagi Amani.
Father-in-law to Samson Keter, Jayne Obura Alenga, Celestine Agola Kagasi, and Rose Wangui Usagi.
Grandfather to Tracy Atiamuga, Joshua Fadhili, Deborah Wema, Newton Usagi, Emmanuel Alenga, Gift Muhonja, Jeff Beto, Cammy Muhonja, Leonard M.Kagasi, and Igasu Usagi.
Blessed with great-grandchildren Blessing Wangui and Behati Ndumba.
The cortege will depart from Montezuma Funeral Home Nairobi Thursday.
The burial will be held at his home in Kilindilu village,Vihiga County on Saturday, 23 May 2026.
