
It is with profound sorrow and much love that we humbly accept God’s will and announce the passing on of Dr. Agnes Mwatu on Tuesday 12 th May 2026 at Aga Khan University Hospital.
She was wife of the late Eng. Justus Mwatu Mbithi. Mother of C.Ndanu Mwatu, Jason Mbithi and Victor Nzioka.
Daughter of the late Mr. David K. Nzioka and the late Ruth Kavesu. Daughter in-law of the late Philip Nthakyo and the late Grace Mbithi.
Sister of the late Bernard, Edward, Monica, Peter, Stephen, Ambrose, Dorcas, Patricia and Philomena.
Sister in-law of the late Judah, Andrew, Sammy, Charles, Margret, the late Francis, Flora, Sherina and Justina. She was an aunty and friend to many.
Friends and relatives are meeting at the family residence in Komarock, Nairobi and their rural home in Muunyini for prayers and funeral arrangements.
There will a fundraising to offset the hospital bill on Friday, 22nd May 2026 at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and at the rural home the same day Friday, 22nd May 2026 from 3:00pm.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, 24th May 2026, at Calvary Covenant Centre Komarock, Nairobi from 3:00 pm.
The cortege will leave Aga Khan University Hospital Mortuary on Wednesday 27th May 2026 at 6.30am followed by burial at Muunyini village Kiteta Division, Ngiluni location, Mbooni East sub-county, Makueni County, from 10:00 am.
