It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mzee Solomon Masinde Nduruchi of Bituyu Village, Lutasso Location, Kimilili Rural Ward, after a long illness on 23rd May 2026.
He was the son of the late Moses Nduruchi Kasili and Muindi Nabano. He was a loving husband of Susan Naliaka Masinde. He was brother of the late Wellington Mulati, Loice Wasike, the late Perita Makanu and Agnes Nabangala. He was a devoted father of Joseph Kasili (retired headmaster), Mark Wanjala (retired Chief Inspector), David Simiyu (retired CSO Webuye), Isaac Wanyonyi (Ministry of Defence), Gladys Nanjala (businesswoman, Maliki Market), Adens Watiti (Nasioya Primary
Headteacher), Anderson Wafula (Kamusinga High School), Musa Masinde and Salome and the late Rosemary. He was father-in-law of Gladys Nasimiyu, Joyce Chelang’at, Centrine Machuma, Jane Naliaka, Clare Kibiti and Kagen Nyaga.
He was a beloved grandfather of Ben, Susan, Mercy, Kennedy, Sharon, Betty, Edwin, Edmond, Elvis, Beverline, Ezra, James, Brian, Faith, Stephen, Haggai, Samuel, Susan, Terry, Robert (Bob), Clara, Laura, Sian, Elsie, Solomon, Michelle, Solomon, Susan, Elyana, Immaculate, Rehema, John, Joshua and Jeremiah, and great-grandfather to many.
Friends and family are meeting daily at their home in Bituyu Village for prayers and funeral arrangements.
The cortege leaves the Delight Funeral Home today, Friday, 29th May 2026 at 1.00p.m., followed by a night vigil at his home.
He will be laid to rest at his Bituyu home tomorrow, Saturday, 30th May 2026.
