
It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will we announce the passing of Mwalimu Njoora Njihia who departed on 26th May 2026 after a long illness bravely borne.
He hails from Ithanga Village, Mungaria Location, Kandara Sub-County in Murang’a County.
Beloved son of Njihia Njoora and the late Lucia Milka Wangari.
Son in law of the late Muhu Thamu (Githembe) and the late Lucy Njeri Muhu.
Loving husband of Pauline Wanjiru Njoora.
Cherished father of Julius Njihia and Rachael Wanjiku, Lawrence Muhu and Consolata Njeri, Zacharia Kinyanjui and Faith Gacheri (Muthaara, Thika), Lucy Wangari (Nakuru/Baba Dogo) and Sammy Mwangi (fincom), Dr. Daniel Ngugi (Thika/ Kabati) and Shelmith Muchiru (St. Peters Boys Kandara), Patrick Nyoike (Sunking) and Brenda Rasoa (Tenece Professional Limited).
Brother of George Kinyanjui, Emiliana Karuma, Patrick Njihia, Alice Gachoka, Cecilia Ninga Maina, Jacinta Wanjiku, Felister Waithira and Reginah Wairimu.
Brother in law of Anne Kinyanjui, Joseph Karuma, the late Esther Wangari Nyoike, Gachoka Muhoro, Mathew Maina, Simon Kariri, the late Ngugi Muhu, the late Elizabeth Wanjiku Muhu, Peter Njogu Muhu (Miriano), the late Monica Muthoni Muhu, Njoki Muhu and the late Samuel Kinuthia Muhu.

Friends and Family are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at his Ithanga home.
The cortege leaves Montenzuma Funeral Home Kabati on Thursday 4th June 2026 at 8.00 Am for a Church Service at Kahiga Catholic Church starting at 11.00 Am and thereafter burial ceremony will follow at his Ithanga home.
