MARY MUGURE MBAU (WA LEAH) – Funeral & Burial Details Kenya

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the death of our beloved mother Mary Mugure Mbau (Wa Leah) of Gathanga Village, Kiambaa, Kiambu County.

Daughter of the late Frederick Ng’ang’a and the late Leah WanJiku.

Mary passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, 30 September 2026 following a prolonged period battling dementia.

Mary was wife of the late Jonathan Gitice Mbau and loving mother of Jane Irene Mbau, Susan W Mbau and the late Frederick N Mbau. Grandmother of Jesse and Eugene Mbau. She was sister of John Karanja Ng’ang’a and sister-in-law of Tabitha WanJiku. She was aunt and cousin to many.

The cortege will leave M.P Shah Funeral Home (Nairobi) on Wednesday, 7th October 2026 at 6:00 a.m. for the burial at 10:00 a.m. at the family home in Kirinyaga County, Ngunguni, Njoga.
