It is with heavy heart and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Margaret Wanjira (Wanjugu) Mwangi, who hails from Ihwa Village, Nyeri County on Monday, 3rd August 2026.
Daughter of the late Ibrahim Muthima Thimba and the late Margaret Wanjiku Muthima.
Beloved wife of David Mwangi Gitari.
Sister of Joyce Wangechi Ndung’u, the late Francis Wamariu Muthima and Lawrence Wachira Muthima.
Sister-in-law of the late Teresiah Nyandia Wamariu, the late Margaret Muthoni Wachira and the late Ndung’u Macharia.
Mother of the late Catherine Wanjiku Mugo and Stanley Mugo, Ester Njeri Mwangi, Johnson Gitari Kamata and Beth Nduta Gitari, Irene Muthoni Kamunya and Phillip Kamunya Nderitu, the late Duncan Muthima Mwangi, Reuben Munyori Mwangi and Frachiah Njoki Munyori, Lucy Wangechi Githinji and Isaac Githinji Wathuta, Ann Wangari Mwangi, Francis Wamariu Mwangi.

Family and friends are meeting for prayers and funeral arrangements at her home at Ihwa Village from 4:00 p.m. daily.
The cortege leaves Outspan Funeral Home on August 14th, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. The funeral service will be held at Ihwa P.C.E.A Church, the same day from 10:00 a.m.
Thereafter, she will be laid to rest at her home in Ihwa Village-Mbui, Ichagachiru Sub-Location, Huhaini Location, Tetu Sub-County, Nyeri County.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
