
It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Joyce Waka Muluka Mugotitsa, who departed this life on 2nd August 2026 at Avenue Hospital, Nairobi.
Beloved wife of Fred Mugotitsa.
Loving mother of Irene Mugotitsa, the late Nical Mugotitsa, Dr. Lynnah Mugotitsa, Dr. Bylhah Mugotitsa, Mikhail Mugotitsa and Israel Okaro Mugotitsa.
Daughter of the late Nom Okaro and Bylha Muluka of the Namkunda Safi Clan from Emanyulia.
She was a dear sister of Judy Munyiri, Dr. Sophie Muluka, Sammy Muluka and Martin Muluka.
Sister-in-law of the late Shem Mugotitsa, the late Wilson Elunda, the late Joshua Siva, Rose Chunguli, Jane Angadia, Beatrice Mugotitsa, Emily Ingaiza and Judy Shem.
She was a mother-in-law and a doting grandmother to many grandchildren; a friend, mentor, inspiration, and a comforting home to many whose hearts she touched countless times.
Family, relatives and friends are meeting daily for funeral arrangements at her residences in Kanduyi, Makutano, Bungoma County, and Park Court, Ojijo Road, Nairobi, every evening from 5:00 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at CITAM Parklands, 2nd Avenue, Nairobi, on Thursday, 13th August 2026 commencing at 3:00 p.m.
The cadaver will leave Nairobi for Bungoma on Friday, 14th August 2026.
A memorial service will be held at Kanduyi PAG Church on the same Friday, 14th August 2026 from 1:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, 15th August 2026 at KMTC Bungoma, after which she will be laid to rest at her home in Kanduyi, Makutano, Bungoma County.
