It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance that we announce the passing of John Kimani Ngina (Wangina) of California Restaurants and Bamaliz Traders, which occurred on 31st August 2026, after a period of illness bravely fought.
He was the beloved husband of Jane Wambui Ngéthe and son of the late Elizabeth Ngina.
Son-in-law of Ng’ethe Kibathi and the late Hannah Wacuka.
Brother-in-law of Kibathi Ng’ethe and Thuo Ng’ethe.
Loving brother of Mary Njambi (late), Gerald Kariuki (late), Susan Wanjiku (late), Allan Thiongo, Rahab Wanjiku (late), Rosemary Nyambura, Jane Wanjiru, Faith Wambui and Samuel Mururia.
Devoted father of Rosemary Waitherero, Elizabeth Ngina, Collins Kariuki and Linah Wacuka.
Doting grandfather of Janelle Nawire, Nala Mwihaki and Gianna Wanjiku.
Father-in-law of John Uluma.
Cherished uncle of Benson Njoroge, Kariuki wa Rahab, Danson, Stephen (Zone I), David and many others.
The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on 9th September 2026 at 8:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at Langata Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place thereafter at the same venue.
