It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of the late Advocate Jackson Kimeu Kakonzi, which occurred on the morning of Thursday, 11th June 2026, after a short illness.
Beloved son of the late Benjamin Mutisya Kakonzi and Emmah Wanza Kakonzi. Son in-law of the late David Muthini and the late Agnes Kasendi. Devoted husband of Mariana Nthenya Kimeu.
Loving father of the late Alexis Joan Wanza Kimeu, Jessica Kasendi Kimeu, the late Summaya and Akram Abbas,Yvonne and James Githere, and Michael and Salome Kakonzi.
Grandfather of Huru, Ruqayya, Fatima, Husayn, Mburu, Eliana, Jack, Phoebe, Alexis, Liam and Alvin.
He was the eldest of twelve children and is survived by his siblings Donald Ngusu, Crispus Musembi, Victor Muema, Anne Nduku, the late Morris Kioko (Mbio), the late Faith Loko, David Muimi, Tiliton Ngina, Rhoda Nthenya, Jasper Nthiwa and Jane Katuku.
He is also survived by his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: Charles, Peter, the late Mutunga, Rachael, Benjamin, Nzioki and Wambua.
The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home, Mbagathi Road on Friday, 26th June 2026 at 7:30a.m followed by an intermittent service at Langata Cemetery at 10:30a.m
