It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will we announce the death of Geofrey Kibe Gitonga, former Principal Ndaka-ini /Giachuki Primary.
He was also the former director/Chairman Njunu Tea Factory. He was born and raised at Giteme Village Kigoro, Gatanga.
Husband of Sarah Wanjiku Kibe.
Father of Poly Kibe, Duncan Kibe, the late Isabel Kibe, Caroline Kibe, Irene Kibe, Catherine Kibe and Ngahu Kibe.
Brother of the late John Kamau, Tabitha Njeri, Grace Muthoni and Mary Wambui.
Step brother of seven siblings.
Father in law of Jane Gitonga, Stanley Ndungu and Renson Kimani.
Grandfather of Bresson Kimunge, Adnan Gitonga, Sydney Gitonga, Chris Njuguna, Celine Njuguna, Christine Njuguna, Clarence Njuguna, Jasmine Wanjiku and Kibe Ngahu.
Son in law of the late Isabella & Onesmus Ngahu.
Brother in law of the late Wanjohi, Kiiru, Muthaka, Kanyingi, Gachanja, Kariuki and Irene Mwago.
Prayers and funeral arrangements will be taking place daily at all Saints Cathedral, Nairobi on Wednesday, 3rd and 4th June, 2026 starting from 5.00pm.
Other meetings are being held daily at the family home Muirati-Kigoro, Gatanga.
The cortege leaves Kenyatta University mortuary, Thika Road, on Saturday, 6th June, 2026 at 8.00am followed by funeral service at ACK Giachuki Parish, Kigoro Location.
There after he will be laid to rest at his farm in Muirati Village, Kigoro Location, Gatanga.
