It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Eliud Kimotho Muriuki, commonly known as Thubei. A resident of Kamatu Village, Karogoto, in Mathira.
He passed away on 21st July 2026 after a short illness.
He was the beloved husband of the late Susan Wangui Kimotho.
Son of the late Watson Muriuki Waruri and the late Shelmith Mumbi.
Loving brother of Mary Ngima, the late Isabella Wangui, Daniel Waruri, the late Jotham Githuku, Naphthaly Kunyiha, Lydia Nyathogora, the late Harun Maina, Johnstone Gathimba, Francis Waciuri, and Purity Njoki.
Devoted father of Stephen Njoroge, Lucy Muthoni, James Muriuki, Daniel Waruri.
Father-in-law of the late Damaris, Jane Muthoni, Anthony Njoroge, Jane Warui, Carol and Phyllis Watiri.
He was a cherished uncle, grandfather to many, and a great grandfather.
The cortege will leave Tumutumu Hospital Mortuary on Friday, 31st July 2026, at 8:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at Ngunguru Secondary School Grounds. Interment will take place thereafter at his farm in Kamatu Village.
