It is with great sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of Mr. David Kafusi Mwawughanga (Assistant Relationship Manager – ABSA) who died in a tragic road accident that occurred on Saturday, 29th August 2026 at Vipingo on his way to Malindi.
He was the son of Late Mzee Gilbert Mwawughanga and Lucy Machaku (Former Branch Manager of NCBA).
Brother of Maggie Mkanjumwa Kafusi (I&M Bank), Judy Mkiwa Kafusi (I&M Bank).
Brother-in-law of George Mburu (I&M Bank).
He was a loving husband of Jackline Muthoni and a father of Ella Ngujani Kafusi.
Meetings are taking place daily at their residence in Utange, Kisauini Mombasa near Distar School.
There will be a requiem mass service on Friday September 4, 2026 at The Bible Way Ministries Central (former Mombasa Pentecostal Church) – Mash Bus roundabout from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m.
The cortege leaves Mombasa 1:00 p.m. after the Mass for an overnight vigil at Mbaoru Wasinyi Wundanyi Taita Taveta County. He will be laid to rest on Saturday 5th September 2026.
