It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Mr. Charles Ocholla Okeyo of Kobita village, East Ngere Sub-Location, Seme Subcounty, Kisumu County.

He was the son of the late Ishmael Okeyo Okuku and the late Mama Nereah Odwar.

Devoted and loving husband of the late Diana Achieng and Mama Florence Auma.

Father of David Otieno (Pastor, CPC Madaraka), Oscar Omoke (Chief Officer-Water, Nairobi County), Grace Anyango (Birmingham USA), Josephine Adhiambo (JOOTRH), Seline Awino (CITAM Schools – Kisumu), Diana Achieng (Kenversity), Deborah Odwar (Kisumu County) and Janet Akoth (Advocate of the High Court of Kenya).

Brother of Helida Okuku, James Ochola Omoke, Sylvester Onyando, Peres, Risper, Joyce, Jenipher, Vincent Kanyangonda, Francisca and Alice.

Father-in-law of Florence Oyugi (Nairobi County), Mercy Khasiani (NSDCC), Jimmy Moore (Retired Ssgt US Airforce), Rt. Rev Benard Owuor- Ack Maseno East, Lennox Juma and George Ochieng’a (TTU).

Uncle of Dr. James Nyikal (MP Seme), Christopher, Willis, Charles, Hesbon, Judith, Joshua and many more.

Grandfather of Diana, Jane, Asher, Cyril, Jayden, Judge, Diana, Grace, Emmanuel, Gabriel, Rebecca, Esther, Grace, Amelia, Amanda, Amara, Evelyne, Florence, Elline, Timothy, Tina, Ansel and Christian.

The cortege will leave Aga Khan Funeral Home on Friday 11th September 2026 at 12:00 p.m. for a memorial service at St. Andrews Ngere Church at 2:00 p.m. and thereafter proceed for an overnight vigil at his home.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday 12th September 2026 at Ngere/Ridore Primary School starting at 9:30 a.m., followed by burial at his home in Soko.

There shall be a fundraising on the 8th September 2026 at All Saints Cathedral starting 5:00 p.m. and at his home in Seme at 2:00 p.m. on the same day. Contributions can also be sent via M-Pesa Paybill No: 4742634. Account: your name.
