ANTHONY KIPKOECH SAINA

1974 – 2026 

It is with deep regret and profound sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Anthony Kipkoech Saina, of the Kapmachichim (Kapsongol) family and a valued member of Family Bank Limited, Eldoret Branch.

Anthony was involved in a tragic road accident on 3rd July 2026 and succumbed on Sunday 5th July while undergoing treatment at Eldoret Hospital surrounded by the love, prayers, and support of his family.

Anthony was the beloved husband of Rebecca Jepkoech Saina, and a loving father of Aloysius Kiprop (14), Judith Jepkosgei (12), and Abigail Jerono (9).

He was the cherished son of Mark Tirop Saina and Sally Saina and the son-in-law of the late Joshua Lagat and Zipporah Lagat of the Kaptakpei family. He was the brother of Hellen Chepchirchir, Lawrence Saina, Lydia Jepkorir, Rita Jerono, Nancy Saina, Mathew Kibungie, Ignatius Kipketer, Emmanuel Saina, Angela Jemurgor, Edwin Saina, Wenceslous Kimeli, and Lucy Jeptepkeny, and the late Cynthia Chebitok, Wilfred Cheruiyot, and Aurelia Jepkirui.

Anthony leaves behind a legacy of love as an affectionate and caring brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

A fundraising (harambee) in aid of the family will be held on Wednesday, 15th July 2026, at Home Ground, Sumbeiywo Village.

The cortege will leave Eldoret Hospital on Friday, 17th July 2026, for an overnight vigil followed by burial on Saturday, 18th July 2026, at Home Ground, Sumbeiywo Village, Baraton Sub-Location, Nandi County, near Baraton University and Kapkechui Girls High School.
