It is with great sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden passing of Benard Obiye Monda which occurred on the 19ᵗʰ of June 2026.
He was the last born son of the late Stephen Monda and the late Joyce Monda.
He was the grandson of the late Mzee Charles Monda and the late Mama Tabitha Bikondo, the late Senior Chief Zacharia Angwenyi and the late Ruth Angwenyi and Maria Angwenyi.
Benard was father of Tendai Moraa Monda. He was brother of Jane Ondieki, Lawrence Monda, Ronald Monda, Catherine Sangu and Bonita Monda-Kuluo.
Brother-in-law of Mekdes Monda, Sheila Karani-Monda, Eliud Kuluo, the late Samuel Ondieki and the late Peter Sangu.
He was uncle of Arnold, Maestro, Amani, Jason, Cree, and Michael; Maryline, Alison, Alyta, Sianto, Neema, Sitota, and Bella. He was grandfather of Luca.
Nephew of Pherus and Margret Monda, Peter and Josephine Monda, the late Ratemo and Salome Monda, Beatrice Monda, Agnes Monda, the late Joseph and the late Hannah Ocharo, Former PSWilliam and Former PSAlice Mayaka, the late Zachary and Teresia Omenyo, the late Alloys and Mary Tumbo, the late Isaac and Mary Angwenyi the late Elizabeth and Andrew Mokora, John and Lucy Angwenyi, the late Deo and Regina Nyamwaya, the late George and Jane Tumbo, Zacharia and Rose Mogeni, Dr Gideon and Pamela Ragira, Victoria Angwenyi, Ronald and Lillian Angwenyi.He was a dear cousin to many.
The cortege will leave KTRH Funeral home on 3rd of July 2026 for burial at their ancestral home in Kisii-Nyanchwa hill-Riamangera village.
