It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Stephen Kahugu Kinyanjui of Kiambu County, Githunguri Sub-County, Kiratina location, who went to be with the Lord on 11th June 2026.
He was a beloved son of the late John Kinyanjui Waweru and the late Ruth Wamwae Kinyanjui, and a stepson of the late Margaret Waithera Kinyanjui and the late Janet Gachiku Kinyanjui.
He was a son-in-law of the late Mwaura Kagoiyo and the late Ngonyo Mwaura of Kiganjo, Gatundu.
He was a loving husband of Margaret Wairimu Kahugu and a devoted father of the late William Kinyanjui and Lucy Mwihaki Kinyanjui, Ruth Wambui Kahugu Kinyanjui, Njeri Kahugu Mugo and Samuel Mugo Njuguna.
He was a loving grandfather of Ivy Wairimu, Cindy Wanjiru, Sandra Wambui, Arch. Brian Stephen Kahugu (BK Wanjema), Joy Wairimu, Njuguna Mugo, Tugi Wangui, Wema Kahugu, Shukran Mboro and many others.
He was a brother of the late Wairimu Kinyanjui, the late Gathoni Kamau, David Waweru, the late Wangui Kinyanjui, Rosemary Maganjo, Edwin Gicho and the late Onesmus Njoroge.
Stepbrother of the late Wamimi Njoroge, Gathoni Kageni, Wairimu Njenga, the late John Waweru, Njeri Njoka, Samuel Kahiga, the late Wambui Wamae and Joseph Gicho. He was a dear brother-in-law, loving uncle, cousin and a friend to many.
The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Wednesday 17th June 2026 at 8:00am and proceed to Komothai Girls Secondary School, Kiratina for the funeral service and internment from 10:00am.
We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. (NIV)
