It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mzee Joshua Mwangangi Nguku on 31st May 2026 at the age of 102 years, after a long battle with a heart condition.
He was among the Founder Directors of Kitengela International Schools PLC (KISC).
Son of the late Nguku Musau and Mwongeli Nguku. Brother of Katungwa Nguku, the late Nundu Nguku, John Nguku, Ndulu Nguku and Susan Nguku.
He was the husband of the late Anne Kalondu Mwangangi and the beloved father of the late Stephen Muthini, Esther Kamanthe, Beth Mueni, Qs. Paul Musau Mwangangi (Co-Founder and Director Kitengela International Schools), Rose Mwelu and Peter Mwanzia.
He was blessed with four (4) Daughters in-law, Beatrice Muthini, Patricia Musau, Christina Musau and Felister Mwanzia.
Father-in-law of Maundu Ngii, Julius Mbithi, and John Bosco Maitha.
Brother-in-law of the late Mbuvi, Mwalili, Mativo, Kyungu, and Nzioka.
He was a loving grandfather to thirty-seven (37) grandchildren, including; Benard Musyoki, Benjamine Musyoki, Peninnah Mwongeli, Annah Mwende, Annah Mwikali, Charles Muendo, Peter Mutinda, Joshua Mwangangi and others.
He was a great-grandfather to fifty-one (51) great-grandchildren and was further blessed with two (2) great-great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are meeting daily at his Mbuani residence, Kola Ward, Machakos County and at First Baptist Church, Athi River (Makadara) on Sunday from 6.30PM, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7.00PM.
The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home, Machakos, on Saturday, 13th June 2026, at 8:00am. for the funeral service and interment at his Mbuani residence, commencing at 10:30am.
