It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved Mum Mrs. Ruth Gathigia Gathuma, which occurred on Saturday, 16th May 2025.
She was the wife of the late Joseph Gathuma Kiragu. Loving mother of Sr. Catherine Gathuma (Dimesse Sisters), Judy Muita, Patrick Kiragu, Peter Ndegwa, Consolata Wangechi, David Ndirangu, Loise Karimi, Nancy Mwiyeria (USA), Cecilia Mung’ara, Dr. Paul Muriithi and Catherine Nyaguthii.
Mother-in-law of Isaac Muita, David Karimi, Johnson Mung’ara, Samuel Theuri, Nancy Njeri, Margaret Nyokabi and Winnie Wangechi.
She was a daughter of the late Ndegwa Muriithi and Priscilla Ndegwa.
Sister of the late Paul Muriithi, the late Muthee Ndegwa, the late Daniel Gatheru, Loise Njogu and Gerald Munyi.
Cherished grandmother of Bonface Muita, Joe Muita, Charles Muita, Joe Ndegwa, John Ndegwa, Jaden Gathuma, Joe Kiragu, Ruth Kiragu, Onesmus Karimi, Avril Bahati, Dante Gathuma, Asher Mung’ara, Annita Karimi, Ruth Ndegwa, Adrian Gathuma, Eliana Mung’ara, Ariana Karimi, Joe Muriithi, RuthJiana Mung’ara, RuthJiana Muriithi, Kaycean Theuri, Ariana Theuri, Adiel Theuri and Allen Muriithi.
Family and Friends are meeting daily from 3.00PM for Holy Mass and daily meetings from 5.00PM at their home in Chereta Village, Muhotetu Location, Laikipia County.
The cortege leaves Pope Benedict XVI Funeral Home in Nyahururu Town on 25th May, 2026 at 8.00 AM followed by a funeral service mass at her home in Chereta Village, Muhotetu Location, Laikipia County.
