It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Esther Kabura Mwangi which occurred on Thursday 30th April 2026.
Daughter of the late Godfath Gitau and the late Faith Kagumo. Beloved wife of Theophilus Anthony Mwangi. She hails from Game Rock in Nyeri.
Mother of the late Anne Nduta, Dr. Anthony and Ciru Njoroge, Jimmy Maina, Eric Njoroge, George and Wanjiku Nailenya Gitau, Carol and Edwin Mungai, David and Jackie Kamau, Catherine Mwangi, and Dr. Patricia Mwangi.
She was sister of the late Gibson Marubu and the late Charity Wambui, John Stephen Kamenya and Faith Wanjiru, Jeniffer Wanjiku and Charles Karuma, Francis Muiruri and Esther Therero, and Anne Njeri.
She was a sister-in-law of the late Fortunata Wanjiku, the late Ignatius Kamau and the late Charity Kamau, Pricilla Njeri and the late Vincent Kamau, the late Dr JFC Munene and Liberata Njoki and the late Daniel Gathira and Teresia Wambui.
Grandmother of Michelle Njeri, Nancy Njoroge, Andrew Njoroge, Eirene Njoroge, Victor Njoroge, Mwangi Gitau, Njenga Gitau, Njoroge Gitau, Ryan Kamau, Nathan Kamau and Jason Kamau. Great grandmother of Tulia Wanjiru.
Family and friends are meeting at All Saints’ Cathedral, Nairobi on Tuesday 5th, Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7 th from 5.00pm to 8.00pm.
Daily prayer meetings are being held at her home in Nyeri from 5pm – 6pm upto Saturday 9th May 2026.
The cortege will leave Outspan Hospital Funeral Home on Monday 11th May 2026 at 9.00am.
Funeral service and burial will take place at her home in Nyeri near Mt Kenya Academy Junior School, Game Rock, Nyeri County from 11.00am.
