It is with humble acceptance that we announce the death of Mama Naomi Ilamwenya Siganga, who went to be with the lord on 3rd April 2026.
Mama Naomi was born on 07th July 1937 in Lirhembe village, Ikolomani, Kakamega County, to the late Timona Ligare Wisyuva and the late Rebecca Maudi Mwavishi.
She was a loving sister of the late Hezekiah Mukhusi Mwanje (Baisikeli), the late Philia Ilagosa Ayesa Karoli, Hellen Mugasiali Onyino and Truphena Lumasai Simiyu.
She was married of the late Christopher N W Siganga. Co-wife of the late Nerima, the late Robai, the late Bathsheba, and the late Beulah.
She was a devoted mother of the late Emy Nawanjaya, the late Leila Ahmed, Isabella Ombwayo, Violet Nandechia, Douglas Waudo, Pamela Ligaga, the late Elsie, Walter Wesonga, Dorica Iyadi, Christine Wandera; Polly Asikoye, the late Edith Jenkins, Joyce Sande, the late Jo-Anne Okwara, Beauttah Alukhava, Georgina Ndombi, Eric Waudo, Eliud Lusinde, ECF Waudo and Dave Lung’aho.
She was a dear sister-in-law of the late Christopher Khaemba, the late Jonathan Munyasa, the late Bethlomew Mukhove, the late Thomas Wangia, the late Tadayo Wambiji, the late Dorcas Nabalayo, the late Fridah Nawire, Nicholas Juma Waudo, Gilbert Malava, Winifness Nerima, Jane Nekesa, the late Loice Nakhayo, Zipporah Namalwa, the late Alice Nawire, Ann Namuma, the late Fridah Mugasia, Eva Mwanje, the late Karoli Lukale, Edward Onyino and the late Saul Simiyu
She was a cherished grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday 22nd April 2026 at 2.00 p.m. at Lang’ata Friends Church, Nairobi.
Mama Naomi will be laid to rest on Friday 24th April 2026 at her home in Mukangu, Navakholo, Kakamega County.
