It is with profound sorrow and in acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Hon. Justice Charles P. Chemmuttut (MBS) Presiding Judge (Rtd.) Industrial Court of Kenya who went to be with the Lord on Tuesday 8th September 2026 at Cherang’any Hospital, Kitale after a short illness.
He was the beloved son of the late Matthias Yegon Chemmuttut and the late Elizabeth Talai Chemmuttut.
He was a loving husband of Mrs. Dinah Chemmuttut and the devoted father of the late Cliff Chemmuttut, Shirley Chemmuttut (Wartsila), Lynda Chemmuttut (Moi University), Moose Chemmuttut (Angama) and the late Brian Chemmuttut.
Mzee Justice Chemmuttut was a much-loved grandfather of Clyde Chemmuttut, Jasmine Chemmuttut, Adrian Mula, Ammani Mula, Janelle Chemmuttut and Janice Chemmuttut.
Friends and relatives are meeting at his home at Kamendi, Cherang’any for funeral arrangements.
The cortege will leave Cherang’any Hospital for his home in Kamendi, Cherang’any on 18th September 2026 and burial on the 19th of September 2026.
