It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our Patriarch Mzee Samwel Hiuhu Kanyi that occurred on 12th August 2026.
Son of the late Hudson Kanyi and the late Elizabeth Wangari of Kimondo Village in Mukurweini.
He was a brother of the late Simon Ngari Kanyi.
He was a beloved husband of the late Jane Wanjiku Kanyi.
Father of Andrew Kanyi, late Elizabeth Wangari, Edward Nduati and Joyce Wanjiru.
Father-in-law of Esther Wairimu, Judy Mwangi and Gideon Nugre.
Grandfather of Felix Hiuhu, Edwin Kagunya, Samuel Nduati, Jayne Wanjiku, Leon Hiuhu and Ethan Juma.
The cortege will leave Mary Immaculate Hospital in Kerugoya at 10:00 a.m. on Friday 21st August 2026 for burial rites at his farm in Mukithi Village near Baricho Town in Kirinyaga County.
