It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we sadly announce the promotion to Glory of our beloved Susan Wanjiru Mwangi on 18 March 2026.
Daughter of the late Eston Kairu and the late Alice Njeri.
Beloved and devoted wife of Ephantus Mwangi Macharia.
Loving mother of Anne & Canon Jotham Kilimo, Rosebell Mwangi, Nicholas and Damaris Macharia, Pancy Mwangi, Judith Phillips, Eston and Elizabeth Kairu, Evelyne and Eric Kalai.
Doting grandmother of Angela, Jeanne and Zawadi Kilimo, Ryan and Shaira Njeri, Skyler and Aiden Macharia, Sarina Phillips, Wanjiru, Wanjiku and Mwangi Kairu, Elisheba and Elysha Kalai.
She was sister of the late Jerusha Wanjiku Mbuthia, Gladys Muthoni Muchiri, Henry Karuri Kairu, Margaret Wangari Wambugu, Grace Gathoni Macharia and the late Humphrey Mwangi Kairu.
She was step-sister of John Karuri, the late Leah Wanjiku, Prisca Wangui, Jane Wanjiru, Jennifer Wambui, the late Mercy Gathoni and Julius Kariuki.
She was aunt and friend to many.
Friends and family will meet at the All Saints Cathedral today, Monday, 23 March at 5.30pm.
There will be a memorial service at All Saints Cathedral on Tuesday, 24 March from 2pm.
The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral home in Kabati on Wednesday, 25 March at 9am.
Funeral service will be held at ACK St. Stephen’s Mukuyu in Murang’a County at 11am followed by burial at her home nearby.
