It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that the Office of the Auditor-General (OAG) announces the passing on of Silah Otieno Ogutu Agwaro, which occurred on 16th July 2026.
He was the son of Mr. Gabriel Agwaro Ogutu and Mama Grace Ayieko Ogutu.
He was a beloved husband of Syrine Akinyi Otieno and a loving father of Gerald Omondi, Joshua Biden, John Mark, Jeff Adrain and Stacy Martha (Nyarota).
Brother of the late Mary Goretty Agwaro, the late Maurice Odhiambo Agwaro, Cyrilla Auma Agwaro, Andrew Ogutu Agwaro, Esther Akinyi Ogutu, Eng. Paul Agwaro and Anne Atieno Agwaro.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his rural home in Ndhiwa, Kanyamwa Kayambo next to Nyamanga Primary School every evening for prayers and funeral arrangements.
The cortege will leave Avenue Hospital Mortuary (Kisumu) on 30th July 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
The funeral service will be held at his home on 31st July 2026 followed by interment at his home in Kanyamwa Kayambo of Ndhiwa Sub-County in Homa Bay County.
