It is with profound sadness that we announce the transition of Ruby Moraa Bonuke formerly an employee of Safaricom Kenya.
Beloved daughter of the late Joel Nyamao Bonuke and the late Mary Bonuke of Matunwa Village, Nyaribari Chache Constituency, Kisii County and proprietors of former Sakagwa School.
She was granddaughter of the late Mark Bonuke and Ester Nyarangi of Matunwa as well as the late Martin and Ruby Daybrowski of Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
Cherished sister of late Nyorita McKenzie, Nyansiaboka Bonuke , Gesare Chife and Martin Bonuke .
Sister-in-law of Dr. Aloy Chife. A much-loved Aunt of Natalia and Martin Anyieni, Sheila Mckenzie, Stephanie, Ernest and Ruby Gwill; Tansi Ukegbu; Anam, Nzam and Anaku Chife; Nyorita, Talisha, Joel and Anam Bonuke. Cousin, niece and beloved friend of many. Grand aunt of Marie; Quincy and Amir.
Final funeral rites and related events: Thursday, `March 5th, 2026 – Viewing at the family home –Former `Sakawa `School, `Jogoo, Kisii County at 9am – 11am – Requiem Mass at Kisii Cathedral, Kisii Catholic Diocese at 12pm
Cortège will then proceed to her rural family home at Matunwa, Kisii County for overnight vigil, Friday, March 6th, 2026.
Burial Ceremony starts at 9am at the proposed Matunwa Polytechnic grounds. After burial mass, final rites and interment follow at her Matunwa family compound.
