It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Rtd Brigadier James Muthama Kilela which occurred on Sunday 26th July 2026 at his home in Athi River.
Son of Josiah Kilela and Vilisita Kavindu.
Loving husband of the late Elizabeth Kilela.
Son-in-law of the late Simeon Muteti and the late Agnes Muteti.
Doting father of Geoffrey Kioko, Benjamin Ndolo, Stephen Mutuku, Charles Munyaka and the late David Musyoki Kilela.
Father-in-law of Julie, Doris and Rose.
Grandfather of Fridah Kioko, Collins Kioko, Adrian Kioko, Amy Ndolo, Nathan Ndolo, Joel Austin Mutuku, Nathan Mutuku, Seth Mutuku, Jayden Munyaka and Leone Munyaka.
Brother of Joseph Henry, Daniel Muoki, the late Patrick Mukua, Judah Sila, Joyce Mutuota and the late Jacinta Mutile.
Brother-in-law of Martha Katuku, Milkah Ndunge, the late John Nthenge, late Lois Muteti, late Sabina Muteti, Michael Muteti and the late Grace Nthenya.
Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home at Kamuthanga Village, Ngelani for funeral arrangements.
Cortege leaves Shalom Hospital Mortuary, Athi River on Friday 7th August 2026 and thereafter burial at his home at Kamuthanga Village, Ngelani Sub Location, Machakos County from 10:00 a.m.
