It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Mr.Rhodestic R. M.Vuhya Matekeya on 30th April 2026.
He was son of the late Levi Matekeya Shisiali and the late Mama Jerida Akamala.
He is survived by his beloved wife Mama Christine Mugesia Vuhya and twelve children, namely: the late Stanley, Dr. Anjeyo Vuhyah of IG Sacco, the late Isabel, Eunice of Kuscco, Phelistus of UAE, Janet of office of County Commissioner of Kakamega.
Ben Vuhya, Mwalimu Fred, Jackline of Kaimosi Friends National Polytechnic, Kelly of Vihiga County Govt, Noreen and Skyrime.
His sons-In-law are John, Ben, Charles, Lawrence and daughters-In-law are Rose, Liz, Pauline, Diana.
His siblings are the Elijah, Erica, Daniel, Ikata, the late Green, the late Azbeta, the late Moses, the late Trufena, the late Maxwell, the late Asuva.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Muhudu ward, Tiriki East district, in Vihiga County for prayers and funeral arrangements.
The cortege will leave Kakamega County Hospital Funeral Home on Thursday 7th May 2026 for vigil at his home in Muhudu in preparation for his burial on Saturday 9th May 2026.
