
It is with profound sadness and acceptance of the will of God that we announce the promotion to glory of Peter Ouma Ayodo, which occurred on Saturday, 2nd May 2026.
He hailed from Mfangano Island, Waware Sub- location, Kakrigu Village, Homabay County.
Peter was a dear son of the late Josephat Ouma Otado and the late Daria Akumu Ouma and a stepson of Susan Ouma.
Grandson of the late Otado Pambo and Debora Aketch of Kakrigu and Olambo Mangombe and Teresia Atsango of Wasiambi Ragwe Village Kaksingri.
A son-in-law of Mr. Jeremiah Okara Nyunja and the late Priscilla Joan Odongo Okara.
A loving husband of Judith Grace Ayodo. He was a doting father of Dorcas Atieno Ouma, Allan Josephat Ouma, Catherine Akinyi Ouma, Sharon Akumu Ayodo, Brian Omondi Ouma, and Pricillah Joan Ayodo.
A loving brother of Michael Abong’o, Consolata Jaoko, the late Cosmas Orwa, Samwel Otieno, Maurice Otado, Agnes Odongo, Pherry Nicholas, Deborah Owuoth, and Kevine Odhiambo.
A brother-in-law of the late Siprosa Abong’o, the late Rosemary Abong’o, Florence Abong’o, Lillian Abong’o, the late Jackson Jaoko Mangla, the late Marsella, the late Helida Orwa, Eunice Orwa, Dr. Phelgona Otieno, Dorothy Ogutu, Mr. Andrew Odongo, Emily Pherry, Moses Owuoth, Grace Amadi, Mary Okwengu, George Okara, Charles Okara, Tom Okara, Jane Okara, the late Susan Okara, Rose Okara, Edina Okara, and Robert Okara.
He was a loving uncle of Chrispine, Sebastian, Lawrence, Justus, Bromic, Zubeda, Hannah, Hanningtone, Edward, Angela, Mitchell, Crystal, Harold, Oscar, Penelope, among others.
His cousins were the late Maurice Obwuogo, Josephine Okomo, the late Dorcus Okongo, Dorris Okeyo, the late Walter Ombok, the late Daniel Ngai, the late Elly Osi Omalla, Nicholus Skull, Ochieng Lukas, the late Odoyo Lukas, Ogutu Ouma, Pius Gor, the late Ochieng Ombogo, the late Paul Ndiege, the late Mangombe Okeyo, the late Otieno Ochieng’, Ndiege Panyako, Peter Ouma, Dani Matharo, Quinta Wakori, Ruth Owuato and Super Opodi among others.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday 20 th May 2026 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Naivasha from 11:00 a.m.
On Thursday 21st May 2026, prayers and viewing of the body will be held at the Umash Funeral Home, Nakuru starting at 7:00 a.m.
Thereafter, the cortege will leave for his home in Mbita at 8:30 a.m.
The funeral service and burial will be held on Friday, 22nd May 2026, at his home in Wasaria Village, Rusinga Island, starting at 10:00 a.m.
A virtual fundraiser will be held on Saturday the 16 th May 2026, from 6:30 pm on a link to be shared.
