
It is with profound sorrow and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Njoroge Waithaka Roki (Maririo), who passed away peacefully, leaving behind a loving family, relatives, friends, and a community that will deeply miss him.
Njoroge will forever be remembered for the life he lived, the relationships he nurtured, and the many lives he touched through his warmth, kindness, sincerity, friendship, and genuine regard for those around him.
He was a beloved husband of Joyce Nieri Njoroge of Ngina Road.
Loving father of Anthony Waithaka Njoroge (USA), Maryanne Waithera Njoroge, Njoroge Muna and Tumaini Muna (USA), Peter and Marion Kinuthia, and Marion Wanjiru Njoroge (USA).
He was the son of the late Roki Waithaka, the late Rosemary Waithera Roki, and the late Josephine Nyabo Roki.
Sibling of the late Regina Wanjiku wa Muongi, the late Peter Kinuthia Roki, the late Kimani Roki (Mwalimu), Stephen Waynee Roki, the late Mary Wanjiru Kuria, and Rosemary Wanjiru Chira.
Step-siblings of the late Peter Kinuthia Roki, Esther Wanjiku Roki, Mary Wanjiru Roki, Rosemary Wamuhu Roki, the late Joseph Gaitho Roki, Stephen Waynee Roki, and Mary Muthoni Roki.
Njoroge was a son-in-law of the late Musa Muna, the late Marion Wanjiru, and Rebecca Mumbi.
Brother-in-law of David Muna and Jane Muna Wangai.
Cherished grandfather of Yaffa Ciru Karitanyi, Njeri Waithaka, Roki Muna, and Nia Muna.
He was also a devoted and genuine friend to Michael Kinyanjui Kiarie (Abdallah). Their friendship was founded on loyalty, mutual respect, sincerity, and trust, and remained a testament to the special bonds that Njoroge formed with those around him.
Family and friends are meeting daily from 5:00 p.m. at his home in Riruta, along Ngina Road, to condole with the family, offer support, and make arrangements for his final send-off.
The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 18th August 2026, proceeding to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Riruta, where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Following the Mass, the cortege will proceed to his home along Ngina Road, where the interment will take place.
