NICK MURUNGA TSUMA

1st December 1974 – 22nd October 2025

The Board and The Management of Social Health Authority (SHA) together with the family of Bright Gadi Tsuma, regret to announce the demise of Nick Murunga Tsuma which occurred on the morning of 22nd October 2025 at Nairobi Hospital. 

Before his demise, the late Nick Tsuma was serving as Branch Manager, previously in our closed Industrial Area Office.

Beloved son of the late Mzee Bright Gadi Tsuma and late Jullie Wang’anya Tsuma of Matioli village. He was husband of Nancy Mwendwa of Nina Tours.

Dotting father of the late Felicia Murunga, the late Lisa Murunga, Bryte Murunga (Machakos School), and Gabriella Murunga (Riara Springs).

A cherished brother of Patricia Wanyoike, Gareth Tsuma, the late Allan Ashitiva, Rhoda Mwebesa, Kate Kutswa, Sila Tsuma, Amwayi Kadima, and Arthur Brown Tsuma.

A beloved nephew of Nellie Okinda, Mabel Bukachi, thel ate Georgina Hajji, the late Grace Barasa, Phyllis Kalume, the late Margaret Omukongolo, the late Amos Wanganya, the late Edwin Muruka, Peter Khasolo, late Zadock Wanganya, the late Mary Anyango, late Boaz Murunga, Evaline Chesire, the late Alfred Osundwa, and late Roselyne Ofula.

Son-in-law of the late Mr. Paul C. Mwendwa and the late Mama Alice Mwendwa.

The late Tsuma was Brother-in-law of Nkoregamba Mwebesa, Browne Kutswa, Merceline Tsuma, Lulu Aleka, Richard, Sammy, Enos, Herbert, Humphrey, Mourine, Winnie, Emmanuel, and Anthony. He was a precious cousin to many.

Nick will be dearly missed by his nephews and nieces including Adrian, Bright, Lavine, Mwebesa, Jullie, Rhoda, Nick, Kayla, Taji, Carl, Ihaji, Brian, Paul, Ray among many others.

Daily Funeral meetings are being held from Monday 27th October 2025 to Wednesday 29th October 2025 at CITAM Valley Road, from 5:30pm.

A memorial service is planned for Thursday 30th October 2025 at CITAM Church Valley Road, Nairobi from 10:00 a.m., after which the cortege will proceed to his Kanduyi home in Bungoma for an overnight vigil on Friday 31stOctober 2025.

The burial service will be will be held on Saturday 1st November 2025, at KMTC grounds, Bungoma starting from 10:00 am after which the final interment will be held at his Kanduyi home, Bungoma County.
