It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mr. Nelson Mwaniki Kiromo (Deputy General Secretary Kenya Quarry and Mine Workers Union /COTU (K) Trustee) after a short illness.
Son of the late Francis Kiromo Mwaniki (Former KANU Chairman, Kirinyaga District) and the late Isabella Wairimu Kiromo.
He was the beloved husband of Mrs Caroline Mwaniki, Former Standard Chartered).
Cherished father of Ruth Mwaniki, Christine Mwaniki, Dennis & Winfred Mwaniki; Maureen Mwaniki & Francis Kihu.
Doting grandfather of Stephanie,Yvonne, Stacie,Trevor, Sean, Marcus, Samuel, Gianna.
Adored brother of Shadrack Kamau, Veronica Wanjiku Alfes (Germany), Ann Wakonyu, the late Winfred Njoki, the late Agatha Gathoni & Esther Nyaguthii (Reading UK).
Brother in law of Peter Muchiri & the late Catherine Wanjiru. Uncle to many.
Funeral prayer meetings will be held at his home, Magiwa Estate, Ngummo area off Mbagathi Way/Raila Odinga way from Wednesday 13th May 2026 starting at 5:30pm.
Funeral and burial arrangements will be communicated at a later date.
