It is with humble hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Mzee William Harrison Mudachi, who departed peacefully on the evening of Tuesday, 19th May 2026, following a month of critical illness and hospitalization.
Mzee Mudachi was a devoted husband of the late Irene Mupa Mudachi and Sofia Vugutsa Baraka.
He was a loving father of Celia Muindi, Leonard Mudachi, Andrew Mudachi, and Kenneth Katana, and a stepfather of Shamim Chanzu. He was a cherished father-in-law of Musyoki Muindi, Catherine Mudachi, Miriam Mudachi, and Patricia Katana.
He was also a proud and devoted grandfather of Kavinya Muindi, Kyalo Muindi, Kimanthi Muindi, Mupa Mudachi, Mawia Mudachi, William Mudachi, Kai Mudachi, Maia Mudachi, Baraka Mwendwa, Elliott Katana, Kibibi Katana, Nia Katana, Sophie Umazi, Sidney Mushefi, and Sisley Baraka.
Mzee Mudachi was a beloved brother, uncle, cousin, mentor, and dear friend to many whose lives he touched with kindness, wisdom, and generosity.
Family and friends are gathering daily at his home in Plainsview, South B, from 6:00 p.m. for prayers and fellowship as they celebrate his life.
A memorial service honouring his life will be held at All Saints Cathedral Nairobi, along Kenyatta Avenue, on Tuesday, 26 th May 2026, beginning at 12:00 noon.
Thereafter, he will be laid to rest during a private interment ceremony with close family and friends in Nairobi.
