It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Fred Andayi Akolo, who went to be with the Lord on September 1, in Maryland, USA.
Fred was the beloved husband of Phyllis Akolo. He was a son of the late Samuel Akolo and the late Mama Flora Odongo Akolo of Lukoho sub-location, Shiraha, Marama North, Butere.
He was also son of the late Mama Rhoda Omusindalo Akolo, the late Mama Rispah Ngabo Akolo and the late Mama Matroba Sandehi Akolo.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at All Saints Cathedral on September 23 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.
A second memorial service will be at his rural home in St. Philips Church, Lukoho Parish, Butere, Kakamega on September 25.
The final service will be on Saturday, 26 at Lukoho Primary school from 9:00 a.m. followed by burial at his home in Emashere village, Butere, Kakamega.
