It is with deep sadness, humility and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved Patriarch Mwalimu Jackson Karua Njarubiu. He was the husband of Josephine Wanjiru Karua.
He was a grandfather of Michael Murichu, Cathy Njeri, Grace and Muthaiga, Crystal Wawira, Jack Robert and Damaris Karua, Edward Karua Njoka, Kennedy and Mary Karoki, Jacklyne and Sam Wachira, Wandia and Benson Thuo, Diana and Washe Kazungu, Brian and Wanjiru Mwangi, Marc Karua, Mumbi Mwangi, Cynthia and Ken Kamau, the late Marcia Mwangi, Hilda Mwaniki, Adrian Mwai, Ted Mwaniki, Eva Wandia, Ryan Mwangi, Joy Wawira among others.
The family will hold prayer meetings from Monday 28th September to Friday 2nd October 2026 at the family home in Kathande from 4pm. A memorial service will be held on Thursday 1st October 2026 at All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi from 2pm.
The funeral service will be on Saturday 3rd October 2026 at Mugumo Primary School at 10am in Gichugu and thereafter laid to rest at the family home in Kathande.
