It is with profound sorrow and thanksgiving to God that we announce the passing of Mama Jane Nkatha Gichunge who went to be with the Lord on Friday, 11th September 2026 while receiving treatment at the MP Shah Hospital Nairobi.
She was the loving wife of the late John Gichunge Baituru.
She was the doting and devoted mother of Caroline Karimi (Glam by Elle Hair Studio, Nairobi), Hilda Mwendwa (PMAESA, Mombasa) and Winnie Kinyua (Lavinki Designs – Nairobi).
Mama Jane was a much-loved grandmother of Chantelle Amari Baraka, Mitza Gesare, Ethan Angachi Baraka, Mason Koroso, Lankenua Ikwo and Kendi Ikwo.
The cortege will leave Cool Breeze Funeral Home, Meru for service at St. Eusebius Catholic Church Isiolo on Saturday 19th September 2026 and finally she will be laid to rest at her home in Kaumuwe, Isiolo.
