It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mr. Francis Gikubu Mwangi, who passed away on 27th August 2026 at Kenyatta National Hospital.
He was the beloved son of the late Allan Mwangi Gikubu and the late Peris Waithira.
Brother of the late Elizabeth, Ndungu, Thuo, late Rachel, late Wambui, and late Ndirangu.
He was the son-in-law of Mary Nyakairu and the loving husband of Margaret Wangari Gikubu (Wakararu).
He was a loving father of Antony Karanu, Felister Waithera, Mary Nyakairu, Elizabeth Wanjiuru, David Mwangi, Judy Wangeci, Anne Wanjiuru, and Thomas Ndungu.
He was a beloved father-in-law of the late Elijah Muchiri, Simon Mwai, James Ndegwa, Patrick Mburu, Wilson Njoroge, Anne Karambu, and Elizabeth Njoki.
He was also a beloved brother-in-law of Peter, Gen. (Rtd.) Amb. ASK Njoroge, Wangari, Mwangi, Wangeti, Wanjiuru, Chege, Waithera, Macharia, Joyce, Njeri, Muthoni, and Wanja.
He was a cherished grandfather to 24 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, Travis and Travina.
The cortege will depart from KU Referral Funeral Home at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, 4th September 2026, proceeding to PCEA Riaini Kiunyu Parish for the funeral service, followed by his burial at his home in Mukurwe Mwabato.
Funeral arrangements and meetings are being held daily at his home in Mukurwe Mwabato and at Kamiti Ridge Estate, Nairobi.
