It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Maureen Achieng’ Nyadida-Lukoye.
Maureen was the devoted wife of Prof. Lukoye Atwoli, Dean, Medical College East Africa, the Aga Khan University, and the loving mother of Alubala, Anyanje, Yimbo, and Junior.
She was the beloved daughter of Samuel Nyadida-Yimbo, the late Elizabeth Atieno Oure, Zylper Atieno Opondo and Roselyn Atieno Okul. She was the cherished daughter-in-law of Francis Atwoli, EBS, Secretary-General of COTU, and Jennifer Atwoli.
A funeral service will be held at All Saints’ Cathedral on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 12:00 noon.
A celebration of Maureen’s life will be held at Mulwanda Primary School, Mulwanda Sub-location, Khwisero Constituency, Kakamega County, on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
