
It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Matriarch, Sister-in-Christ, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Mentor, Mary Muthoni Njombai (Wa Musa) / (Wa George). Mary went to be with the Lord on 1st September 2026, aged 62 years.
She was the beloved wife of the late Moses Njombai Ngariya (MUSA) of Nyaga Village, Ngewa Ward, Githunguri Sub-County, Kiambu County.
She was the daughter of the late William Mbugua Zakayo (Mbitini) and Teresia Wangari Mbugua (Wa Mumbi) of Riagithu Village.
Devoted mother of George Ngariya Njombai and Coleen Muthoni; Dennis Mbugua Njombai and Emily Wangari; and twins Monica Emelda Nyangahu Njombai and Solomon Mukundi Njombai.
Loving grandmother of Keith Moses Njombai Ngariya, Kethan Mario Munene Ngariya, Moses Njombai Mbugua, Njombai Mbugua and Muthoni Mbugua.
Beloved sister of Jane Mumbi, Patrick Muigai (Su), Magdaline Njania, Lucy Nyokabi, Gabriel Kamau, Anastasia Nyakio, the late Michael Mukii, Pauline Wambui, Jennifer Njeri, Rachel Ngina and Redempta Wanjiru.
Daughter-in-law of the late George Ngariya Mukundi and Monica Nyangahu Ngariya of Ndaathini village.
Sister-in-law of Solomon Mukundi, Stephen Gitau, Patrick Kamau, Esther Wambui, Naomi Njeri, Beth Muchina and Peter Ng’anga (P).
Funeral arrangements are ongoing daily at the family home in Nyaga Village, opposite Nyaga Secondary School, from 4:00 p.m.
The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital (KU Referral Bypass) on Friday, 11th September 2026 at 8:00 a.m., followed by a Church Service at P.C.E.A. Nyaga premises at 10:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest at the family’s matrimonial land in Ndaathi-ini Village, Ngewa Ward, Githunguri Sub-County, Kiambu County.
Rest in Eternal Peace, our beloved Wamusa. Arise in everlasting glory when the last trumpet is blown.
