It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved Mrs. Margaret Wangu Waigi of Muthuini, Kanyagia, Mweiga, Nyeri County, which occurred on Saturday 27th June 2026.
Daughter of the late Joseph Maina Gatuhi and the late Mary Gathoni Maina. Daughter in law of the late Wanyaga Kanja and the late Mary Wamuyu.
Wife of the late Francis Njogu Waigi. Mother of Rose Wamuyu, Joseph Maina, Harun Mirera and Stephen Kanja. Grand-mother of Ciiru, Kariuki, Lee, Maggie, Maggie, Ian, Ayden, Clement. Mother in law of Eunice Wacu, Jacinta Mbula and the late James Maina. Cousin and aunt to many.
Sister of Peter Gatuhi, John Kinya, George Migiwi, Ann Wangui, Benard Machira, Michael Muriuki and Esther Kirigo. Sister-in-law of Margaret Wangu, Dr. Catherine Kamindo, Mary Gakenia, Kung’u Ndirangu, Elizabeth Wanjiku, Susan Waithera, the late (Joseph Kahhu, Kanja Wanyaga, Mwangi Wanyaga Daudi Ngatia), Peter Kigundu, the late Wambui.
The cortege leaves Outspan Funeral Home, Nyeri on Friday, 3rd July 2026 at 8.00am for the funeral service and burial at her home in Muthuini, Kanyagia, Mweiga, Nyeri county. Prayers and meetings are taking place daily at her home from 4:00pm.
