Jane worked for Nairobi City Council before retirement.
Sister of late Erka, late Okeyo and Manuel Opiyo of Kano Sidho.
Mother of the late Florence Atieno, Timon Ogendo of Nairobi Water, Mildred Ogendo of Ketraco, Lawrence Ogindo of Nairobi County, the late Josephine Auma and the late Edwina Obiya.
Step-mother of the late Koyi, Marsela, Charles, the late Jackline, Linda, Allan, Beatrice, Dorothy, Naim, Maureen, Juliette, and Ronnie.
Mother-in-law of Tom Omenda, Fred Obiya, Millicent, Stella, Karren, Violet, Alice, and Tabitha.
Auntie of Falkie, Dan, Brenda, Andrew, among others. Grandmother of Lilian, Annette, Wendy Rehema, Tevin, Johnson, Rose, Brandon, Jasmine, Ruth, Edwina, Nam Ivy, Martin, Bianca, Tracy, Tatiana, Nadia, Malia, Ryan, Leon and Angela.
The cortege will leave Star Mortuary Kisumu on 17th April 2026. Burial will be on 18th , April, 2026 at her home in Kobura, Ahero
