It is with great sadness that the family of Mrs Lucy Wangari Mathenge announces her passing on to glory.
Daughter of the late Edward Matumbi and the late Eliza Wanjiku Matumbi. Daughter-in-law of the late Isaiah Mathenge and the late Dorcas Ng’endo.
Loving and cherished wife of the late Dishon Mburu Mathenge. Beloved Mum of Alex and Esther Mathenge, Edward and Carime Gitau, and Christine Ng’endo.
Sister of the late Grace Wairimu, the late Peter Wambura, the late Owen Kahahu, the late Serah Liayai, the late Perry Kamau, the late Salome Kuria, James Karanja, the late Diana Njoroge, Richard Njenga, and Winnie Kung’u.
Sister-in-law of the late Ruth Wanjiku, the late Dickson Ndungu, the late Bernice Wanjiru, Leah Wairimu, Daniel Waweru, Paul Mutahi, and Joseph Migue.
Loving Grandmother of Naisola Tameno, Maximo, Wangari, Mateo Mathenge, and Edenne Wangari Mathenge. She was also an aunt, cousin and friend to many.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, 5th June, 2026 at A.C.K St. Timothy Parish, Utawala from 7.00am to 11.00am followed by the burial in Karati, Naivasha.
